Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce in Korea (BangCham) is a pioneering platform dedicated to fostering trade, business collaboration, and investment opportunities between Bangladesh and South Korea. As a bridge between the two nations, BangCham aims to support entrepreneurs, companies, and professionals from both countries who seek cross-border cooperation, expansion, and mutual prosperity.
Mission
To become the leading hub for Bangladesh–Korea commercial collaboration by promoting mutual understanding, facilitating business opportunities, and empowering members through support, networking, and advocacy.

Leadership Structure of BangCham
BangCham is governed by a dynamic leadership team composed of experienced professionals from both Bangladesh and South Korea. The structure ensures balanced representation, cross-cultural understanding, and effective management to drive the Chamber’s vision forward.
Honorary Chairman
- A highly distinguished Korean business leader with a reputable presence in Korea’s business community.
- Acts as the symbolic head and patron of the Chamber.
- Provides guidance, promotes high-level networks, and advocates for Bangladesh–Korea commercial cooperation at national and international platforms.
- Appointed by the Executive Board for a renewable 2-year term.
Chairman
- A Korean or Bangladesh business professional fluent in Korean & English Oversees the overall direction, strategy, and growth of BangCham.
- Represents BangCham in meetings, trade delegations, government bodies, and official engagements.
- Elected by the General Members for a 2-year term with the possibility of renewal.
Vice Presidents (3 Positions)
- One Bangladeshi and one Korean national appointed to ensure bicultural leadership and coordination.
- Assist the President in managing cross-border initiatives and facilitating communication between member communities.
- May lead specialized committees (e.g., Trade, SME Development, Women in Business, etc.)
Secretary General
- A Bangladeshi national residing in South Korea with multilingual proficiency in Korean, English, and Bengali.
- Responsible for daily administration, communication with Korean stakeholders, documentation, and operational management.
- Supports event planning, maintains records, and coordinates between leadership and members.
Treasurer
- Manages financial planning, budgeting, and annual audits.
- Ensures transparency in fund usage and membership fee collection.
- Presents financial reports during general meetings.
- Can be either Bangladeshi or Korean national with financial background or relevant experience.
Directors (Up to 5-7 Members)
- Selected based on their contribution, expertise, or affiliation, directors serve specific portfolios such as:
- Director of Trade & Industry
- Director of Events & Seminars
- Director of Legal & Business Support
- Director of International Relations
- Director of Youth & Innovation
- Each director may chair subcommittees or working groups to organize events, handle membership matters, or develop new initiatives.
Advisory Board (Optional)
- A group of seasoned professionals and former leaders from Bangladesh and Korea.
- Provides non-binding strategic advice.
- May include embassy officials, senior academics, trade specialists, and retired business leaders.
- Appointed by the Executive Committee based on reputation and relevance.
Election & Terms
- Leadership positions (except Honorary Chairman) are filled via election or nomination by the Executive Committee.
- Terms are typically 2 years, with potential for one-time renewal.
- The first leadership team will be appointed by the founding committee, followed by democratic elections as membership grows.
- This structure ensures professionalism, transparency, and inclusivity at all levels, while promoting effective cross-cultural cooperation between Bangladesh and South Korea.
