Chinese trade delegation canceled a trip to American farm states and according to a senior member this was not down to failure in trade talks.

Vice-minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said that the change in the plan had nothing to do with the trade negotiations, as the trip was a stand-alone arrangement. And noted that the trip will be rescheduled at a later, according to the invitation by the united states.

Han is the key decision maker in in China’s agricultural policy in the preliminary negotiations said that any deal would likely involve China purchasing large portions of US farm goods, including pork and soybeans.

Han’s role is very significant and clear. He had previously warned that US farmers could lose their Chinese market share permanently should the trade war continue
